When it comes to designing its personal safety monitors, Universal Site Monitoring (USM) relies on NevadaNano’s Molecular Property Spectrometer (MPS) flammable-gas sensors for real-time gas leak detection. USM will pair the MPS flammable-gas sensors with its BLE gas sensors to integrate real-time gas detection in mobile phones and future generations of personal safety products.
End users will be able to monitor gas risks in the field by connecting a mobile phone to USM’s Universal Data Interface via their Global Asset Monitor iOS or Android apps, and by pairing the USM BLE clip-on gas sensor to their mobile phone. With the clip-on sensor, mobile phones also sense data like location and biometric status along with real-time gas exposure monitoring for multiple gases, generating alerts, and not safe zone entry notification. In addition to better health outcomes, the devices improve regulatory compliance.
Nevada Nano offers a range of gas-detection sensors for flammables and refrigerants. According to their maker, MPS sensors accurately report 0 to 100% LEL across 19 flammable gases and six refrigerant gases with a single factory calibration and no field maintenance necessary over their lifetime.
