Manifold Assembly Simplifies EV Thermal Fluid Issues

Tailored for use in next-generation electric vehicles (EVs), TI Fluid Systems unveils an innovative approach for coolant fluid management via its Integrated Thermal Manifold assembly (ITMa). The assembly employs a one-piece, light-weight blow-molded plastic manifold to simplify complex line design. As per its maker, the manifold replaces multiple line bundle assemblies of thermal loops for heating and cooling.

According to the company, current EVs use multiple complex rubber, aluminum, or multi-layer plastic lines packaged together under the hood or mounted on the chassis. Reducing complexity, the ITMa offers better flow performance for efficiency gains, lower part counts for sub and final vehicle assembly, lower weight, and lower tooling costs.
