High-Power Microinverters Boost Solar Energy Viability

At the SNEC PV Power Expo 2021, Hoymiles Power Electrics Inc. debuted its line-up of microinverters designed for high-power solar panels. The company also showcased its Gateway DTU-Pro-S, a data transfer unit providing sub-1-Ghz wireless connectivity.

Groomed for high-power solar panels, the HMS-2000 4-in-1 microinverter specifies a maximum output power of 2 kVA, reportedly a new benchmark for the industry. It features independent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) and monitoring to allow for higher energy harvests and easier maintenance.

The HMS-1000 2-in-1 and HMS-500 1-in-1 microinverters provide the same features as the HMS-2000 except for maximum output power. The HMS-1000 delivers a maximum output of 1 kVA and the HMS-500 cranks out 500 VA max.

Deemed unique, theHMT-2250 three-phase microinverter with reactive power control is viable for use in general 230V/400V three-phase electric power distribution applications. Additionally, it supports connection of 6 PV modules.
