First Wi-Fi 6 USB Adapter Debuts In Canada

D-Link Canada is expanding its Wi-Fi 6 portfolio with what it’s calling “the world’s first Wi-Fi 6 USB adapter.” The AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 USB adapter (DWA-X1850) launches in response to the demands made on Canadian home networks during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It offers users a simple way to upgrade their laptop or desktop PCs to the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard for faster speeds, greater capacity, and lower network congestion.

By plugging the DWA-X1850 into a USB port, users can achieve Internet connectivity speeds up to 574 Mb/s in the 2.4-GHz band and 1,200 Mb/s in the 5 GHz band. It also features WPA3 Wi-Fi encryption.

Lou Reda, President of D-Link Canada, says “The pandemic has accelerated device and bandwidth usage in what was already a device dense home network.” Designed to work efficiently in dense network environments, the Wi-Fi 6 standard enables better Wi-Fi performance to maximize home networks.

The AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 USB Adapter (DWA-X1850) retails for $79.99. For further enlightenment, checkout the D-Link adapter page.
