AI Concept Car Hits The Road

by Mat Dirjish

Global automotive supplier Hyundai Mobis is launching M.Vision X, an AI-included concept car for full autonomous driving, at IAA Mobility 2021 from September 7 to 12, 2021. M.Vision X is an all-electric, zero-emission purpose-built four-seater mobility vehicle. Its control is completely autonomous via a center cockpit that enable contactless communication with passengers using gesture recognition.

M.Vision X offers a unique reinterpretation of the typical automotive interior. For one example, passengers can switch all of the vehicle’s windows into a display with various functions.

The company will also showcase the tech components of the latest all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 5, considered to be the next evolutionary step in electromobility. The vehicle achieves a range up to 100 kilometers (km) after five minutes of charging and a range of almost 400 km on a full charge. A total of 30 components from the development of the IONIQ 5 are set for presentation at IAA Mobility 2021.
