Vishay Intertechnology’s RCV-AT e3 series high-voltage (HV) thick-film technology (TFT) chip resistors specify operating voltages up to 3 kV and come in compact 2010 and 2512 case sizes. Saving board space while reducing component counts, the resistors are AEC-Q200 qualified and can replace standard resistor chains. Reportedly, this will allow designers to save board space in inverters for electric and hybrid electric vehicles, on-board chargers, and dc/dc converters.
The RCV-AT e3 series offers a resistance range from 100 kΩ to 100 MΩ, tolerances of ±1% and ±5%, TCRs of ±100 ppm/K and ±200 ppm/K, power ratings up to 1W, and a low-voltage coefficient of resistance of 25 ppm/V. Operating temperature range spans -55°C to +155°C. Additionally, the components are suitable for processing on automatic surface-mount assembly systems and for wave, reflow, or vapor phase soldering per IEC 61760-1.
Samples and production quantities of the RCV-AT e3 series are available now, with lead times of 10 weeks. Pricing for US delivery starts at $0.0875 each/100,000 for the RCV2010-AT e3 and $0.1459 each/100,000 for the RCV2512-AT e3.
