Compact Automotive Inductor Beats The Heat To +155°C

by Mat Dirjish

In a compact 7575 case measuring 19 mm x 19 mm x 7 mm, Vishay Intertechnology’s automotive grade IHLP inductor specifies an operating temperature range up to +155°C.

The IHLP 7575GZ-5A boasts 30% lower DCR and up to 35% higher current ratings than devices in a 6767 case, and at a 50% lower cost than devices in an 8787 case.

The AEC-Q200 inductor is highly viable for energy-storage chores in dc/dc converters running at speeds up to 2 MHz and high-current filtering applications up to the SRF of the inductor. Sporting a composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultra-low levels, the IHLP-7575GZ-5A offers high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, and mechanical shock and handles high transient current spikes without saturation.

Samples and production quantities of the IHLP-7575GZ-5A are available now with lead times of 10 weeks. Pricing for US delivery is $2.09 each/10,000.

Ready to design this component into your automotive design but hunger for more details, data, and specs? If so, hunger no more. Chow down on the IHLP-7575GZ-5A datasheet.
