by Mat Dirjish

Currently launching in beta, Trimble’s SketchUp app enables interior designers, architects, engineers, and construction professionals to create and edit 3D models on their iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, mouse, and keyboard, or via multitouch gestures. The app relies on 5G connectivity and offers integration with the Trimble Connect collaboration platform, a cloud-based platform that enables file updates in real-time.

SketchUp for iPad introduces a variety of unique capabilities. These include Autoshape, Markup Mode, AR model viewing, and numerous user interface and workflow enhancements. Early access to SketchUp for iPad is open to a limited number of users and granted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

If you’re ready to start modeling on the go, you better haul butt to sign up. Get on over to the SketchUp for iPad beta sign-up page.
