Yamaha Launches New A/E Guitar Models Made In India

by Mat Dirjish

Yamaha Music India is introducing two acoustic/electric (A/E) guitar models: the FX280 and FSX80C. According to the company, the instruments recreate natural tone and dynamics and are suitable for both beginner and intermediate musicians.

The guitars feature spruce tops and rosewood fingerboards and bridges. Business Head, Musical Instruments, Yamaha Music India, Rehan Siddiqui claims, “The hallmark of our F-series Guitars has been superior quality, tone, and durability at competitive prices and these new models stand for exactly the same qualities. We believe that with these models we can accompany both amateurs and seasoned musicians on their musical journey.”

Both the FX280 and FSX80C employ Yamaha’s Acoustic Resonance Transducer (A.R.T) pickup system. Reportedly, this pickup system delivers natural, dynamic, and expressive sound.

The FX280 sports a traditional western body (dreadnought) and measures 40.5-in. long. The FSX80C measures 40.2 in. in length and features a concert-size body with a cutaway.

According to their maker, both guitars are sleeker than standard-size instruments, making them easier to handle, especially for beginners.

The FX280 is available in two colors, natural, and tobacco sunburst, while the FSX80C comes in natural or black. Both guitars will be available in music stores shortly.
