Bluetooth-Based Gas Detectors Work In All Kinds Of Weather

by Mat Dirjish

Honeywell’s Bluetooth-connected Searchline Excel Plus and Searchline Excel Edge gas detectors provide accurate monitoring for dangerous gas leaks in fog, rain, snow, and all other weather conditions. The open-path gas detectors employ optical and infrared technologies that allow them to stay online in all weather conditions and Bluetooth connectivity enables fast and easy device maintenance and calibration.

Traditional open-path, fixed gas detectors and monitors are vulnerable to weather conditions such as fog, rain, snow, and mist. Fog and humidity can block their signals, bringing the devices offline. The Searchline Excel Plus and Searchline Excel Edge’s advanced optics and Near Band Infrared absorption technology can penetrate through thick fog and mist.

Via Bluetooth connectivity, the gas detectors work with the Honeywell Fixed Platform App, offering simple maintenance and testing procedures. Personnel can use mobile devices at distances up to 60 feet away to conduct maintenance checks with no need to climb ladders. The Searchline Excel Plus monitors short and mid-range applications from 6 ft. to 393 ft. while the Searchline Excel Edge provides long range perimeter or fence line monitoring from 196 ft. to 1,083 ft.

Ready to detect your noxious gases but require deeper insights and brighter illumination? If so, peruse the Searchline Excel Plus data page and the Searchline Excel Edge data page.
