HV Chip Divider Reduces Component Counts, Improves TC Tracking

Targeting automotive and industrial equipment, Vishay Intertechnology says its Techno CDMM is the industry’s first high voltage (HV) chip divider available in a ribbed molded package with compliant surface-mount leads. The company also claims the component reduces component counts and improves both TC tracking performance and ratio stability.

In a 4527-case size, the Techno CDMM delivers a maximum working voltage of 1.5 kV. It consists of two resistors integrated into one molded package and acts as a single-component replacement for multiple discrete resistors common to voltage divider applications.

The AEC-Q200 qualified component is available in resistance values from 500 kΩ to 50 MΩ with maximum resistance ratios to 500:1 and tolerances down to ± 0.5 %. Other features include a temperature coefficient of ± 100 ppm/°C, TCR tracking as low as ± 10 ppm/°C, compliance with IEC 60664-1, and a 12.5-mm creepage distance.
