Patek Philippe NFT Auction Draws Earth-Shaking Registration

by Mat Dirjish

SM-ART, a nonfungible token (NFT) auction platform, reports astronomical registration figures for the first Patek Philippe Nautilus NFT auction taking place after its New York Times Square debut. The three-day auction will begin on November 18, 2021 at 5 pm GMT and ends on Sunday November 21, 2021.

The SM-ART platform received 16,000 registrations in 24 hours for the auction following the debut of the Patek Phillipe NFT in New York last week. Beginning as a napkin sketch by designer Gerald Genta, the Nautilus watch became an evolving icon in watch design over the next 30-years. The Nautilus was available from 1976 to 2006, making it a highly lucrative investment opportunity for watch collectors.

Prospective bidders must register on the platform to gain access to the auction and bidding is via cryptocurrency. Following the NFT auction, the auction house will fractionalize the physical Nautilus through a non-fungible asset (NFA). Then SM-ART platform members can buy and trade shares of the actual timepiece.

Ready to own a piece of a timepiece but need extremely more information? If so, gallop on over to the SM-ART website and bathe in greater wisdom.
