Metaverse developer Sensorium and Venezuelan experimental music composer Alejandra Ghersi Arca held a panel to discuss the future of music at Sónar, Spain’s iconic music festival. The panel, led by Sensorium’s Deputy CEO and Art Director Sasha Tityanko and Arca, included SVORA, an incognito electronic music artist who made his debut performance earlier this year at SXSW.
The panel discussed the most prominent trends disrupting the music industry such as advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) and the emergence virtual artists and generative music. Arca outlined her vision of future metaverse performances and potential collaboration with AI.
Special attention focused on the topic of inclusivity in the metaverse. Reportedly, the metaverse has great potential to raise awareness and provide a safe space for self-expression. Sensorium shared the vision of solving the problem through partnerships with diverse co-creators and awareness initiatives to develop a metaverse that is inclusive by design.
Sensorium’s Galaxy is now in beta and is set to launch later this year. To ensure a truly open experience, the platform will be accessible through the most widely available interfaces. For more details, peruse the Sensorium Galaxy website.
