Vishay Intertechnology unveils the Vishay Dale IHSR-6767GZ-5A, which it claims is the first AEC-Q200 qualified IHSR high-temperature inductor with current ratings up to 155A in a 19 mm x 17.1 mm x 7.0 mm 6767 case size. Target applications include multi-phase, high current power supplies and input/output filters in automotive under the hood and ADAS. Reportedly, the component also offers a 50% reduction in DCR (0.24 mΩ) over typical power inductors and a smaller size than similar ferrite-based components.
With an operating temperature up to +155°C, the inductor is also suitable for filtering and dc/dc conversion in ADAS and LIDAR microprocessors, 12V and 48V vacuum-less braking systems, OBCs, and brushless dc electric motors up to 140A. Additionally, the inductor offers high resistance to moisture, thermal and mechanical shock, and it handles high transient current spikes without saturation.
