OKdo, RS, DesignSpark, and global partners, in collaboration with independent engineering community Wevolver issue The ROCK Engineering Challenge. The partners are inviting engineers, developers, educators, inventors, and entrepreneurs to submit design ideas based on OKdo’s ROCK single board computers (SBCs) and compute modules. These include the ROCK 5B platform.
Free to enter and open to everyone until April 12, 2023, the first 500 qualifying entries will receive a ROCK board of their choice. The most innovative entry will snag a grand prize consisting of a partnership with OKdo to scale up the project, valued at $50,000.

Sander Arts, Chief Marketing Officer at OKdo, said, “We want to enable builders, engineers, entrepreneurs, makers, hackers, educators, and businesses to create awesome projects that are sustainable, responsible, and profitable. In partnership with Wevolver, we will reach a diverse audience and I am certain the projects we receive will make a positive impact in new markets.”
The challenge is open to teams across the world. To enter, submit a written idea for a part, product, or system that incorporates a ROCK SBC or compute module. Entries should clearly demonstrate how their plans leverage the features of the ROCK platform, e.g., 8K video, Arm DynamIQ Quad Cortex A76 driven AI capability, etc.
Ready to hone your design chops and come up with the next big idea but desire deeper data? If so, peruse the ROCK Engineering Challenge page.
