Vishay Intertechnology’s BCcomponents 172 RLX series AEC-Q200 qualified aluminum capacitors come in 14 case sizes measuring from 10 mm x 12 mm to 18 mm x 40 mm. They specify ripple currents up to 4.9A, an operating temperature range up to +105°C, and a lifespan of 10,000 hours.

Compared to previous generations, the components offer lower impedances, higher capacitance values for a given case size and voltage rating, and up to 54% higher ripple current at the same capacitance voltage. Due to their compact footprints, designers can use fewer components, increasing design flexibility and saving board space.

Other features include radial leads, insulated cylindrical aluminum cases with pressure reliefs, voltage ratings up to 50V, capacitance values from 150 µF to 15,000 µF, and impedances down to 0.011Ω at +20°C. Additionally, the components are charge and discharge proof.
