Amazon Music is collaborating with Endel, a company backed by the Alexa Fund, to produce a sleep wellness playlist using Endel’s science-based wellness tech. This allegedly makes Endel the first generative AI company to collaborate with the service on a sleep playlist. Drawing on research into the neuroscience of sleep, the playlist lasts roughly eight hours or until the listener awakens, and will be available on February 17, 2023 on Amazon Music.
The playlist, titled “Sleep Science,” opens with an Amazon Original track featuring electronic duo Kx5 (Kaskade and deadmau5) that uses the hit track “Escape.” Endel Pacific processed the source material including synths and chill vocals to create a relaxing soundscape.

Theoretically, the soundscape activates the parasympathetic nervous system and gets the listener ready for sleep. Endel Pacific, Endel’s patented AI-engine, creates sleep tracks that follow natural sleep phases, first preparing the brain for sleep, then aiding the listener to stay asleep.
Ready to stop counting medium-rare lamb chops and try a 21st century method of sawing wood? If you’re not yawning already and are wide awake because you crave more details, astral travel on over to the Amazon Sleep Science Playlist. For even greater gleanings, visit the Endel website.
