Addressing the requirements of next-gen automotive applications, Vishay’s AEC-Q200 qualified LTA 30 thick-film power resistor resides in a compact TO-220 package that withstands the rigors of the road. It reliably survives temperatures up to +125°C as well as high humidity, vibration, and electrical stress.

Specifications include a 500V operating voltage, dielectric strength of 1.5 kVRMS, 30W power rating, an overload capability of 1.5x Pr for 5s, and resistance values from 0.010Ω to 450 kΩ with tolerances down to ±1%. Typical applications include use in on-board chargers, battery management systems, and motor controls for electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Additionally, the RoHS-compliant component features a non-inductive design.
Samples and production quantities of the LTA 30 are available now with lead times of four to six weeks. Pricing for US delivery starts at $1.296 each/10,000. For greater gleanings, procure and peruse the LTA 30 datasheet.
