Partners Spotlight African Music Streaming Trends

by Mat Dirjish

Music industry data analytics platform Soundcharts and artist-first music streaming and discovery platform Audiomack are partnering to highlight visibility into African streaming data and music trends. Their strategy entails integrating Audiomack playlists and Geo Charts into the Soundcharts database to enable deeper insights into African listening habits across the continent and among audiences in Europe and North America. Via this integration, Audiomack artists now appear alongside more than 15 million creators and 85 million songs within the Soundcharts ecosystem, which aggregates data from more than seven million playlists, 2,400 radio stations, and 26,000 global charts.

Soundcharts Founder and CEO David Wieszfeld explains, “Integrating Audiomack’s data helps Soundcharts deliver a truly global view of the music industry, filling long-standing gaps in African music consumption and representation. This addition brings visibility to one of the world’s fastest-growing music regions and empowers artists and professionals to better understand and act on emerging demand.”

David Ponte, Audiomack co-founder and CMO, adds, “When artists share their music on Audiomack, their goal is to reach new listeners and grow their audience. Our partnership with Soundcharts helps make that possible, giving artists the recognition they deserve and amplifies the global impact of African music.” For more insights, visit the Audiomack and Soundcharts websites.
