Industrial Scientific, a company offering portable gas detection hardware as a service and advanced analytics, is adding the latest generation of MPS LEL sensors to its SafeCore Module gas-detection portfolio, which includes its popular Radius BZ1. As per the company, the MPS LEL sensor represents a major step forward in flammable gas detection.
Employing MEMS-based technology, the sensor can accurately detect more than a dozen flammable gases including hydrogen. It is also resistant to poisoning and saturation, extends device runtime with lower power consumption, and can detect flammable gases upon startup for early visibility into potential risks.
The sensor enables longer deployments, easier maintenance, and greater confidence in high-risk, open-air environments. From fence line and perimeter monitoring to long-term leak detection, the MPS LEL sensor promises to streamline operations, reduce downtime, and deliver accurate readings in the most challenging conditions.
