Creative Music Studio Enters The Brick-and-Mortar Domain

by Mat Dirjish

Eternal Research, a creative technology studio dedicated to designing new instruments and noted for its EMF-powered instrument/controller the Demon Box, cuts the opening ribbon on its first physical location: a studio dubbed the Demon Lair. Residing in a 3,800 sq-ft warehouse in Hollywood, the Demon Lair will function as a showroom, laboratory, and a studio for film, music, and live performance.

The studio provides space for everything from woodworking, costumes, photography, and painting to fabrication. Eternal Research founder, inventor, and artist Alexandra Fierra explains, “The space will give us the ability to explore visual art and incorporate it with sound and new instruments. We plan on utilizing the studio as a collaborative space.”

Additionally, the space integrates special sound equipment, which includes a custom-designed triphonic speaker set up created by Oakland-based sound artist Fait Poms of Faited Systems. And the Demon Lair will also serve as a workshop for the development of Eternal Research’s next instruments. For deeper demonic details, visit the Eternal Research website. | info@matdirjish.com |
