Vishay Intertechnology unveils four power inductors in 2 mm x 1.6 mm x 1.2 mm 0806 and 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.2 mm 1210 case sizes. The IHLL-0806AZ-1Z and IHLL-1210AB-1Z suit commercial applications and the and IHLP-0806AB-5A and IHLP-1210ABEZ-5A are automotive grade components.
The IHLL-0806AZ-1Z and IHLL-1210AB-1Z are available in inductance values from 0.24 µH to 4.70 µH with typical DCRs down to 6.6 mΩ. They feature plating on the bottom only, which reportedly enables a smaller land pattern for more compact board spacing.
Terminals on the AEC-Q200-qualified IHLP-0806AB-5A and IHLP-1210ABEZ-5A feature plating on both their bottoms and sides. As per the company, this allows the formation of a solder fillet that adds strength against mechanical shock. Both components promise reliable performance up to +165°C and specify typical DCRs down to 15 mΩ.
The four inductors feature a powdered iron body that completely encapsulates their windings to eliminate air gaps and magnetically shield against crosstalk to nearby components. In terms of suitable applications, the IHLP-0806AB-5A and IHLP-1210ABEZ-5A target automotive infotainment, navigation, and braking systems as well as ADAS, LiDAR, sensors, and engine control units. The IHLL-0806AZ-1Z and IHLL-1210AB-1Z are suitable for use with CPUs, SSD modules, and data networking and storage systems as well as industrial and home automation systems.
