Openstage, a fan data and marketing platform that helps artists take control of their audience, access, and revenue, introduces Ticket Unlocks, a platform that allows artists to run invite-only sales by giving each fan personalized access tied to their identity. As per Openstage, for many fans, getting tickets to see their favorite artist has become a tedious chore at best. Access is arbitrary while generic presale codes get mass distributed and abused. And bots and scalpers flood the system. Last year, more than $3.14 billion left the artist economy, taken by resellers and weakening the overall health of the live music ecosystem.

Used by artists such as Radiohead, Oasis, Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, and Hayley Williams, Ticket Unlocks is now available to all artists on Openstage. With Ticket Unlocks, artists run invite-only sales by giving each fan personalized access tied to their identity. Fans register directly with the artist, who controls participation based on fans’ activities and profile data, then delivers personalized access that unlocks the sale at ticketing providers such as Ticketmaster and AXS.
Ticket Unlocks work by first having fans register directly with the artist through an experience the artist controls. The platform validates fan profiles to block bots and bad actors before sales begin. Artists can choose who gets access, can prioritize top fans, run lotteries, or send to all. For greater gleanings, peruse the Ticket Unlocks website.
