Maker of the first AI-powered putting mat PUTTR and Vertex Golf, developer of what may be the world’s lightest putting motion sensor, announced an integration that combines putter stroke data with ball-tracking results inside a single AI putting coach. Integration of PUTTR’s sensor with Vertex Golf’s putting mat merges real-time putter motion data with ball-tracking results, giving players and coaches a complete cause-and-effect picture of every putt.
The Vertex SmartCore sensor weighs 9g and clips on to any putter shaft. It captures face angle, rotation, rhythm, lie angle, and clubhead speed while PUTTR’s computer-vision system tracks ball speed, entry angle, make/miss outcomes, and miss direction across 27 positions from 3 to 11 feet. The PUTTR AI coach accepts both input streams simultaneously and correlates stroke mechanics with ball outcomes in real time.

Suitable for both players and teaching professionals, the integration adds a new layer to the Puttr platform that enables users to:
- Review full stroke-to-result data from any session.
- Identify the mechanical root cause behind recurring miss patterns.
- Assign targeted drills based on correlated data.
- Track progress over time with unified metrics.
Summarily, the system learns from millions of putts in the PUTTR user base and the AI coach provides pattern-level insights. For greater gleanings, stop putting around and visit the PUTTR and Vertex Golf websites.
