Industry Event Spotlights Music Tech Market Growth

by Mat Dirjish

Music Tectonics, an event that explores shifts that unsettle the music industry, attracts music-technology innovators across diverse industries to share insights and do business. The philosophy is, “the music industry could, and should, be bigger.” Music Tectonics focuses on growing music’s total addressable market.

Music Tectonics founder Dmitri Vietze explains, “Everyone, from the largest companies in the business to creative new startups, from emerging artists to established execs, we all agree that music punches above its weight when it comes to cultural impact. We need to row in the same direction and translate that impact into revenue. There’s a value gap. There’s an investment blind spot. There are serious leaks and challenges that drain potential revenue and impede growth. Yet there are also massive shifts that are creating opportunities all around us.”

The three-day Music Tectonics conference takes place this year from October 27 to 29 on the beach in Santa Monica, California. The Annenberg Beach House will be home to the conference’s final two days. For greater gleanings, visit the Music Tectonics website.
