Sony Electronics’ REON POCKET PRO plus wearable thermal device enlists cooling and heating technology that promises personalized thermal comfort and an adaptive fit for wearers, as well as a long battery life for daily use. The component combines thermal control, real-time sensing, and a secure ergonomic design. This results in what the company claims is a consistent and discreet cooling or heating experience that adapts in real time, whether the wearer is commuting, traveling, or spending extended time outdoors.

Sony Electronics’ REON POCKET PRO Plus is an innovative wearable thermo device, designed to deliver enhanced personal cooling and heating with stability and comfort.

The component employs a cooling and heating algorithm and high-efficiency thermal design. In SMART mode, wearers can set a temperature range in the mobile REON POCKET PRO app and the device automatically adjusts the temperature of the cooling plate based on the wearer’s preference.

Additionally, the device integrates multiple sensors that work in combination to continuously monitor skin temperature in real time. They work in conjunction with the updated algorithm to dynamically adjust cooling and heating output based on changes in the wearer’s condition and surroundings. Reportedly, this closed-loop system enables consistent performance.

Other significant REON POCKET PRO Plus features include:

• An adjustable neckband employing the company’s Adaptive Hold Design that promises to improve both fit and functional performance. This allows the device to maintain stable and consistent contact with the body, critical for effective thermal transfer.
• A fan-less design that operates at quiet noise levels.
• A long battery life, delivering up to 15 hours of battery life in the SMART COOL mode setting.
• An airflow exhaust system with adjustable components that allow users to extend the vent length and modify its angle.

The other component of the REON POCKET PRO Plus is the wearable sensing device (TAG). This is a compact wearable sensor tag that provides precise measurements of ambient temperature and humidity. Palm-sized, its form factor includes a strap hole and carabiner, offering attachment options such as bags, belt loops, or accessories. Capturing environmental data in real time, the TAG provides additional context for thermal adjustments, allowing users to better understand and respond to changing conditions.
