Vibration Sensor Snags Prestigious Design Award

by Mat Dirjish

Creator of AI smart industry solutions Treon received the Red Dot Award 2026: Product Design for its Industrial Node X vibration sensor. Designed for the AI-driven industrial future, Node X enables physical AI on industrial assets operating in demanding conditions. As per the company, it combines sophisticated engineering with a rugged industrial design, and every aspect of the component supports the digitalization of industrial machinery.

Node X continuously collects high-resolution asset data, processes it at the edge, and transmits it wirelessly to an AI analytics engine running on the Treon Connect cloud platform. This enables automated fault detection and characterization months before a failure may occur.

The sensor monitors a wide range of industrial equipment including motors, pumps, fans, compressors, and slow-rotating machinery such as gearboxes. It accurately measures three-axis vibration velocity and acceleration, electromagnetic fields, temperature, and rotation speed.

Other features include a replaceable battery with electromagnetic shielding and a service life of up to five years, certification for use in hazardous environments, and self-healing wireless mesh networking technology. For deeper details and insights, peruse the Industrial Node X datasheet. Also pay a visit to the Treon website.
