EarFun, a company employing the latest technology to improve sound in wireless audio products, introduces the Wave Pro X, which it claims are the world’s first dual-coaxial headphones integrating Qualcomm Adaptive Hybrid ANC technology and Auracast. Adaptive Hybrid Automatic Noise Cancellation (ANC) combines feedforward and feedback ANC with real-time adjustments to optimize noise cancellation across a wide range of frequencies and environments. It continuously scans for noise and adapts cancellation strength automatically.
Auracast is a feature of Bluetooth Low Energy that enables a single transmitting device to stream audio to multiple receivers simultaneously, such as hearing aids, headphones, earbuds, and smartphones. Additionally, the headphones feature a Dual-Coaxial Acoustic Architecture (DCAA), which the company describes as a re-engineered driver system.
The pulse of Wave Pro X is the Qualcomm QCC3095 Snapdragon S3 Gen 1 Sound Platform that reportedly yields major gains in wireless connectivity, sound quality, and noise cancellation. The platform enables support for the Snapdragon Sound Technology Suite, which features ultra-low latency and solid connectivity when pairing with compatible devices.
Adaptive Hybrid ANC continuously analyzes surrounding sound environments and adjusts feedback and feed-forward filtering in real time. This is the result of Wave Pro X’s eight-microphone hybrid system, which also delivers voice capture and external-noise suppression.
Sound shaping on the Wave Pro X is via the DCAA, EarFun’s re-engineering of wireless acoustic dynamics. The DCAA arranges a 40-mm DLC dynamic driver and a 10-mm LCP driver along a shared coaxial axis, allowing both drivers to fire from a single, aligned acoustic center instead of across separate paths. An AI-driven crossover sync manages the handoff between drivers in real time, continuously routing frequencies to keep bass, mids, and highs phase-aligned.
