Fitness Watch Supports Wide Range Of Users

by Mat Dirjish

Introduced at IFA 2026, Motorola claims its moto watch ultra is the company’s most intelligent moto watch to date. It features wearable sports and fitness technology company Polar’s fitness and wellness insights, Wear OS by Google, and LTE eSIM functionality, making it viable for use by fitness enthusiasts and people who need to understand their health.

The moto watch ultra is the fruit of Motorola’s collaboration with Polar. As per the pair, the watch helps wearers manage stress, analyze sleep, train more efficiently, and track calories and exercise.

Using Polar’s fitness algorithms, wearers have a wealth of wellness features on their wrists. These include:

  • Serene breathing exercise mode offering real-time biofeedback for relaxation. It notes how long a user spends in three serenity zones and if they are in sync with an optimal breathing rhythm.
  • Nightly Recharge mode that combines sleep quality and autonomic nervous system recovery measurement.
  • Sleep Plus Stages that track the quality of one’s sleep and the time spent in different stages, e.g., light, deep, REM, to calculate a personal sleep score.

Polar functions for users seeking a healthier lifestyle include:

  • Activity Goal creates a tailored daily target based on the user’s profile and chosen activity level.
  • Activity Score measures users’ daily movement and intensity to deliver a personalized score against their goals.
  • Active Intensity Zones give users a breakdown of their activity by an intensity level determined by their heart rate and movement.
  • Inactivity Alert pops up when someone has been inactive for too long and encourages an active break.
  • Smart Calories provides an overview of daily burned calories by tracking heart rate, wrist movement, weight, and age,
  • Energy Sources analyzes how the body uses different fuels, e.g., fat, carbs, and protein, during a workout and offers metabolic insights.

Additionally, the moto watch ultra can monitor key vitals via health tracking sensors. And, being the first moto watch with LTE functionality, users out for a walk or run can leave their phone at home or disconnect while still being reachable.

Other features include an always-on 1.5-inch OLED display with 2,700 nits of brightness, a 46-mm stainless-steel body, third-party 22-mm wristband compatibility, IP686 and 5ATM underwater protection, up to two days use on a single charge, and up to 24 hours of active use with a 15-minute charge time.

Available now on the Motorola website, it will also be available at Verizon, T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, AT&T, Xfinity Mobile, and Consumer Cellular in the near future. Price is 349.99. For deeper details and data, peruse the Motorola moto ultra overview.
