Automotive Festival Celebrates 80s And 90s Culture

by Mat Dirjish

Described as an Original (OG) Celebration of ’80s and ’90s cars and culture, RADwood is returning to the San Francisco Bay Area on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The result of collaborators Hagerty, a provider of vehicle insurance products, live/digital auctions, and other events in Canada, the US, and UK, and the Goodyear company, the automotive festival will stage its first free-to-attend evening event featuring Wheels in Motion, a fast-paced demonstration set against the San Francisco skyline.

Hagerty CMO Marc Burns explains, “RADwood exists because driving enthusiasts crave real experiences and community, For 2026, we cranked it up by adding iconic cars running at full-throttle, a new evening format, and then made it free to attend.”

For car lovers, the show will feature numerous period-correct cars, trucks, and motorcycles at Gold Bar Hangar at Alameda Point. Wheels in Motion, a driving exhibition including the era’s most significant rides, will present an opportunity to see and hear some of the greatest cars at redline. Pioneer will provide period tunes as official sound partner of RADwood NorCal.

Vehicle classes on display will include Kei Cars, Tuners, Movie Cars, and Mustang vs. Camaro. And for the first time, RADwood expands into Y2K with the introduction of a Millenia class that will spotlight cars from 2000 to 2010.
